Des croisières Disney Star Wars dans les Caraïbes

Suggestion de présentation. Probabilité que cette scène ait réellement lieu, dans ces conditions, avec aucun autre passager que ce petit garçon : 0.

En attendant un hypothétique parc d’attractions Star Wars dont on se dit qu’au bout d’un temps infini, il finira bien par apparaître (vraisemblablement avant un parc d’attractions Ghibli, en tout cas), Disney a décidé d’organiser des croisières Star Wars, à bord de ses paquebots Disney Cruise Line. Ou, plus précisément, des journées thématiques Star Wars, à l’intérieur de ses croisières.

Au programme, sur une journée : des rencontres avec les personnages (Dark Vador, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, etc.), des activités en lien avec Star Wars (je pense que les combats de rancors et les courses de modules ne sont pas au programme, mais c’est à vérifier), des projections des films (dont l’Episode VII, qui sera alors sorti depuis quelques semaines), des boissons et des plats en provenance d’une autre galaxie, des incitations au cosplay, des night clubs déguisés en cantina de Mos Eisley, etc. En dehors de cette journée Star Wars, le reste de la croisière se déroule normalement.

Un programme alléchant donc, mais dont on a du mal à comprendre pourquoi il est limité à une seule journée sur les 5-6 jours que dure la croisière. Car avec une durée aussi courte, on imagine que les stars comme Dark Vador seront assaillies et entourées d’une foule hermétique toute la journée (donc pas comme sur la photo ci-dessus). Et que fait le Seigneur noir des Sith pendant le reste de la croisière ? Il sirote un cocktail au bord de la piscine, tranquille ?

Ca vous intéresse quand même ? Il vous en coûtera la modique somme de $5824,76, pour 7 nuits dans une cabine avec vue sur la mer, pour 2 adultes et 2 enfants, avec un départ de Port Caneveral, à destination des Caraïbes. Pour à peu près le même prix, vous pouvez passer un peu plus de deux semaines en famille au Japon (par exemple) ou vous payer quelques séjours tout compris chez Vacanciel (autre exemple). Ou acheter une Wii U avec environ 150 jeux (à condition de les trouver puisqu’il en existe moins que ça).

En ce qui me concerne, j’attends que soit proposée la même chose dans des vaisseaux spatiaux. Là, oui.

Disney Cruise Line announced today Star Wars Day at Sea: a special celebration of all things Star Wars, with a day-long event aboard eight special sailings on the Disney Fantasy in the Western Caribbean. Marking the first official appearance of the heroes and villains of Star Wars aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship, Star WarsDay at Sea, coming in 2016, will feature a complete lineup of Star Wars activities for fans of all ages:

Force-filled Fun for Everyone

  • Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, stormtroopers, and other characters from across the Star Wars galaxy will be onboard for scheduled meet and greets, as well as roaming on deck and elsewhere around the ship. Guests also are encouraged to dress up in their own stellar costumes.
  • A shipboard version of the popular Jedi Training Academy experience invites young Padawans to learn lightsaber moves from a Jedi Master. They can then use the Force and face off in a final test against the evil Darth Vader.
  • Kids and families enjoy friendly competition during Star Wars trivia games, covering fun facts from the film and television sagas.
  • For younglings, Star Wars-themed arts and crafts, games and activities will be offered throughout the day in Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab youth clubs.
  • In the evening, adults entering the night club will feel like they stepped into the Mos Eisley cantina scene. Characters and cantina music set the mood as Star Wars-themed specialty cocktails are served.

Film Screenings and Celebrities

  • Guests can watch the first six Star Wars films.
  • Also showing will be episodes of the hit animated series Star Wars Rebels.
  • On each of the special sailings, celebrities and insiders from the Star Wars galaxy will share their experiences, meet fans, and sign autographs.

Star Wars Deck Party and Fireworks

  • There’s intergalactic fun when the Star Wars deck party blasts off to an exciting evening filled with music, dancing, and games.
  • Star Wars characters converge on the deck stage for a celebration of the Star Wars saga in a show featuring special effects and guest participation.
  • The deck party culminates in a spectacular display of themed pyrotechnics, lighting, sound effects, lasers, and Star Wars.

Star Wars Day at Sea will be on Disney Fantasy cruises sailing on January 9 and  January 23, 2016; February 6 and February 20, 2016; March 5 and March 19, 2016; April 2 and April 16, 2016. Departing from Port Canaveral, the seven-night Western Caribbean itinerary includes Cozumel, Mexico; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, and Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay.
